Last night before sending my 3 yr old to bed we had to negotiate with her. She likes to stay up entirely too late for her age. Since I stay at home, sometimes its just easier to let her stay up especially when we don't have an early morning the next day. Well, last night we went visiting Dee & Poppy (My mom & dad). When we came back home, she wanted to watch a movie on the computer. She has figured out how to turn our computers on from the basic name screen to one of our profiles. After that, she knows which button to push for Netflix and watch a movie. She's 3. I have a harder time figuring things out myself and she gets it. Its not fair your kids get smarter than you do. Anyways, on to the point of her remembering things. I promised her last night that today she could watch a movie on the computer with some friends that were coming over today. What does she ask for when she wakes up? Mommy, I watch my movie now.
Note to self and to others: Don't promise things in hopes that they will forget the next day, they won't!
