The last post I had was about Christmas being right around the corner. Alot has happened since December. My husband's father passed away rather suddenly on January 4th 2010. Before Christmas he had surgery to take out a 10cm aneurysm across his stomach. He did great through the surgery and was home within a week. Once he was home he never quite got over the pain. We're not sure exactly why he never recovered. Preliminary reports suggest a heart attack. He has been gone a little bit over a month now and it still does not seem real.
One of the worst things about living here without him now is explaining to Katy, who is 3, where Paw paw is and what happened to him. She has been incredibly understanding so far. God just put his grace all over that situation. We live day by day. This is the first time we have been through a death so personal to us. By that I mean one that we, along with his sister and brother in law, have had to do all arrangements and settling the estate.
